Bowls BC March Update
Update from the Bowls BC Board Meeting March 1, 2021
Bowls Canada Boulingrin has decided NOT to hold any national championships this year, as has World Bowls, USA and Britain. Therefore, Bowls BC is not planning on holding any provincial championships this year. Bowls Canada is still awaiting news as to whether the Canada-USA teams championship will be held in the fall of 2021.
Bowls BC will not be charging club members its affiliation fee again this year.
Bowls Canada is reinstating their affiliation fee this year but reduced. Consequently, Bowls BC will charge $10 per club member to cover this Bowls Canada affiliation fee. No information as to the fee structure in subsequent years.
ViaSport is holding a webinar with Denise Mahon, Manager of Policy and Community Outreach with the Province of BC Community Gaming Grants Branch. The presentation will cover an overview of the Community Gaming Grant program, changes to the program for 2021/22 grant year, and will conclude with a Q&A.
