Volunteer of the Year Award
Winner: 2016 Volunteer of the Year Award
David Arnott announced that this year the Board received four nominations for ‘2016 Volunteer of the Year’. The award has been given to Tim Mason and the presentation will be made at the Nov. 18 V&D AGM. On behalf of the V&D Board David presented the other three nominees, Nita Clark from Maple Ridge, Roger Skinner from Coquitlam and Dave Davey from North Vancouver with certificates of recognition.

Nominate a Candidate
Each year nominations are invited for outstanding Vancouver & District individuals who have volunteered their time, effort and energy in exceptional ways to advance the sport of lawn bowling. The nominee is chosen by the V&D Board of Management and forwarded to Bowles BC. The recipient is announced at the Bowls BC S-AGM the following spring and receives an award plaque.
Level and duration of volunteer activity at the Club, V&D, Provincial, and National level will be considered. This includes, but not limited to:

administration such as executive responsibilities, coaching, running events, officiating, assisting with greens and club upkeep and other activities.

Playing activity, both social and competitive is of interest but is secondary to volunteer work,

Nomination must be from a club in the V&D, each club may nominate only one person in a year.
This form should be submitted to the V&D Bowls Association Secretary by the end of December.
